Mr D Riley

Assistant Principal

When I was growing up I always wanted to be Indiana Jones and my favourite subject at school was History. This led me to complete a degree in History and Archaeology at University in Winchester and then a post graduate qualification in Roman History.
I have been teaching History for twenty years and I still love being in front of a class and
explaining the story of the past and how it unfolded.

In my role as Assistant Principal I also oversee the behaviour and engagement of the students as well as leading on careers across the Academy. Before becoming a teacher, I had a number of jobs, including a valet, lifeguard, security and bar manager. I never realised I wanted to be a teacher until I actually became one!
