EAL Provisions

We strive to ensure that all students achieve their potential personally, socially emotionally and academically in all areas of the curriculum (regardless of their gender, ethnicity, social background, religion, sexual identity, physical ability, educational need, or first language).

We support our EAL students with the digital learning platform Flash Academy for secondary school acselerating English acquisition. Our dedicated, trained staff who support our EAL learners use Flash Academy to aid KS3, KS4 and KS5 students, who use English as an additional language. This will help them to learn social and curriculum vocabulary, grammar, phonics, and handwriting. We assess EAL learners’ baseline level of proficiency and track and support their progress with the Flash Academy one digital dashboard.
