Remote/Home Learning
Dear parents/carers
The points below cover our expectations for students during the current period of remote learning and advice on how you can support them:
STUDENTS:
- Check Milk and Showbie/Google Classroom every day for any updates/announcements from your teachers.
- Stick broadly to your normal academy timetable/class times where possible, to provide some structure and spread work out, although we know that this will not always be possible for a wide variety of reasons.
- Complete any work set by class teachers, to a high standard, within the time period indicated by the teachers.
- Ask questions if you do not understand or have any difficulties, during the academy day.
- Make use of online resources from Student Bulletin 1 if you cannot access your set lesson. Student Bulletins are available from the tab to the side.
- Complete any additional projects/extension activities set by your teachers if you cannot access online classwork or have spare time.
- Make use of online resources if you cannot access your lesson for revision & independent study where you can.
- Year 9 - Year 13: only use your iPad for yourself, do not share iPads or codes. Remember to wipe your iPad screen and keep it clean.
- Read books/listen to audio books for pleasure. Years 7 and 8 students complete your reading and quizzing on Accelerated Reader.
- Follow guidelines about being safe online.
- Please use our Technical Support page for enquiries including iPads/ICT.
- Keep yourself well and stay healthy and follow hygiene advice to help to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
